1. Project information
– Project name: Construction, installation and equipment, operation of leachate treatment system. Belongs to landfill No. 2.
– Location: Thua Thien Hue, Vietnam.
– Capacity: 215 m3/day and night.
2. Input parameters of processing system
- Type and level of construction: Level III technical infrastructure construction.
- Input water: leachate, allowable TDS index up to 30,000 ppm.
3. Proposed technology and treatment solutions
Applying reverse osmosis (RO) technology. STRO membrane technology at TVTS treats leachate into wastewater that meets current standards.
In this technology, the raw water flows crosswise through the reverse osmosis membrane, suspended substances, bacteria and viruses are separated to obtain a quantity of pure water that permeates through the membrane. The purified water after treatment has a TDS of 340-500 mg/l, ensuring drinking water standards.
4. Strengths of processing technology
- Treats wastewater with TDS concentrations up to 100,000 mg/l.
- Eliminates most bacteria in water.
- Treated water meets reuse standards for sanitary and civil purposes.
5. Water treatment results
Output clean water: ~ 160 m3/day and night.
Quality: Meets column A, QCVN 25:2009 BTNMT and QCVN 40:2011 BTNMT.
