1. Introduction to TSRO ROCHEM membrane technology

TSRO ROCHEM Spacer Tube Module

Based on the advantages of the PFRO disc tube module, ROCHEM has launched the TSRO ROCHEM Spacer Tube Module. TSRO is a combination of the spiral wound module and the open channel design of the PFRO module. Therefore, TSRO has the combined advantages of both types of modules above:

1.1 Structural characteristics of the TSRO module

• The open channel design of the water inlet to the module creates a gap of > 1mm between the two membrane layers – reducing the requirement for pre-treatment systems and limiting clogging.

1.2 Flow structure of TSRO module

• TSRO modules are installed in a single membrane housing and arranged in a vertical row (with 6 modules per row), the outlet of this module will connect to the inlet of the next module, helping the wastewater move in the modules in a sinusoidal shape, creating short and twisted flows – helping to minimize clogging.
• The membrane area of ​​TSRO modules is 2.5 times that of PFRO modules, which helps to minimize the number of modules needed as well as the investment cost for the system.
